Snowing in Seattle!

It started snowing yesterday evening, and has continued on and off today. Because the temperature isn't really that cold, much of the snow melts soon after it touches the ground. Still, right now there is a thin layer of white in our front yard. I'll post up some pictures of it soon.

Later today, I will be picking up my cousin Florence and her husband Henry from the SeaTac airport. They have been in Los Angeles for Thanksgiving weekend, enjoying sunny California. Florence just called me saying that their flight is being delayed. Please pray that their plane will arrrive soon, so that they wouldn't arrive back home too late.

Wonderful weekend

On Thursday, I spent Thanksgiving with my new friend Lindsay's family. It was really cool that she invited me to join them for the traditional Thanksgiving meal, and I had a great time hanging out with her and her family.

On Friday, I went to an outreach in downtown Seattle, where we passed out tracts, Christmas candies, and prayed for people in the streets. I haven't done that with a group of people in a while, and it was rewarding just to be out there in the city, interacting with different people, and blessing them with the love of the Lord. We were sowing seeds of salvation into their lives, and I pray that every single heart would come to know Jesus Christ intimately!

Tomorrow morning I will be playing violin with the worship team at the Seattle Vineyard. Pray that God will move powerfully in the worship and message. Thanks!

Happy Thanksgiving!

May the blessings of the Lord be upon you today and this season. May you experience more and more of His love and grace. Amen.

Last night, I heard Loren Cunningham, the founder of YWAM (Youth With A Mission) speak on the University of Washington campus. Loren is truly a father and pioneer in the global missions movement. It was the first time I've seen him live, and it was a wonderful experience. If you are not familiar with the worldwide ministry of YWAM, check out their website at www.ywam.org

On another note, I've just uploaded pictures of my Japan trip under "Photo Gallery." Just click on the link above to view them.

It has felt like winter the past week here in the Seattle region. lots of rain here in the city and snow in the mountains. The ski areas are all open with their best Thanksgiving conditions ever. Praise the Lord! Makes me want to hit the slopes soon.

Supernatural Prophetic / Healing weekend!

This past weekend was pretty incredible. The prophetic conference (see previous posting) was amazing with significant prophecies released over the entire Northwest region, and on Saturday night, I went to River Glory church, which was hosting a meeting led by Ivan Roman, a man of God who had been mentored by Todd Bentley in his earlier years. There was a strong healing anointing at the River Glory meeting. About 10-15 people with various physical ailments got healed instantly! Praise the Lord!

I think all that happened in the last few days are indicative of what is coming soon to the Northwest in greater measure, a mighty prophetic and healing wave of the Holy Spirit. Yes Lord, let it come!

After my last worship session on violin at the prophetic conference, an intercessor came up to me and told me that while I was ministering on the violin, she received a prophetic song in the spirit which interpreted the music I was playing. Here is the words of that song:

Father, I hear your sound coming through,
and my heart reverberates with love to You.
You have drawn me to your heart to hear
Your steadfast love that draws all people near

Draw us nearer to You, Our God...

What is interesting is that I have been praying a simple prayer over and over again for the past months--"Draw near to me, Lord, and let me draw near to You...Amen."

Ministering at Northwest Awakening

Today I had the privilege of ministering on the violin with a worship team at the Northwest Awakening conference. Pastor Karl from the Seattle Vineyard was leading the worship for the two daytime sessions, and he invited me to join his team. We had wonderful times of worship. Larry Randolph gave the message in the morning, and Graham Cooke spoke in the afternoon. Praise the Lord.

Sleeping good

I've been sleeping quite a lot the past few days, getting over jetlag, waking up at weird hours in the night, slowly getting my internal clock readjusted to Seattle time. The current weather is also very suitable for napping, being cloudy and rainy most of the time. There are enough snow on the local mountains for the ski areas to open this weekend. These early openings are a good sign for the upcoming ski season here in the Northwest. I don't think I'll be skiing much, but I would like to check out a couple of the ski mountains close to the Seattle area.

Tomorrow evening, I'll be attending a Graham Cooke / Larry Randolph conference in Lynnwood with my cousin Florence and her husband Henry. Both of these speakers are very humorous and prophetic as well, so it should be a good time in the Lord.

Back safely in Bellevue

I got back to the States safely yesterday afternoon. The flight was delayed a bit on the runway, but other than that, no major hindrances. Praise the Lord! After I got home I slept for a couple hours, ate some food, then slept some more. It's Saturday now and I feel more rested. God is good.

Here is a picture of me outside the Sung family residence in Japan, on the 13th floor overlooking a mega-shopping complex. I'll upload more Japan photos to the "Photo Gallery" soon.

last Japan posting before departure

Here's a picture of me, Jason, and Joy (they are siblings) at a beautiful tourist spot in the mountains. These past 10 days has been truly amazing. God is so incredible! I'll be eating a quick lunch before heading off to the Narita Airport. You can pray for me for a safe, smooth flight back to Seattle. Hopefully I would be able to come back again in the near future, as the Lord leads. Thanks to all of you who have keep me covered in your prayers the past week. I can really feel the support in the spirit!

Impartation of God's love in Japan

At the morning meeting yesterday, in Tokyo, we had a deep time of worship. I started off playing the violin with Joy on the keyboard for a period of soaking worship, then I switched over to acoustic guitar and we entered into a flow of high praise, warfare, and intimacy. After that came to a close, I shared about hungering after God, the love of God, and more about my personal walk with the Lord. At the end, I led another song and we moved into prayer ministry, praying for each person to receive more of God's love, to develop a deeper love relationship with Him, and to receive His blessings. We also blessed the children as well. It was a powerful time in the Lord.

Later that night, my host family took me out to eat some really good sushi. These kind of restaurants are unique, as you don't see them outside of Japan. The food is primarily served by automatic moving "belts" that "floats" by your table. You can just grab whatever you want to eat from the belt. We ate to our hearts content. God is good.

Tomorrow will be my last full day in Japan. Though I probably won't do any more "formal" ministry, I know God isn't finished yet, and so I am not going to switch to "auto-pilot" mode in any sense. I still want to be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit and keep the shield up. I have had a wonderful time here, and I am praying to finish strong as I conclude my time here in this nation. Glory to God!

Great Sunday gathering

Yesterday we had a great time in the Lord. Pastor Lewis preached in the morning service. I played violin with the worship team. In the afternoon, I shared a message on the love of God, worship, and parts of my personal testimony. I also played a few of my own worship songs, including the "Hug" song! The congregation were touched by the Lord, and many came up for prayer at the end. Praise the Lord!

Afterwards, we went out to eat at Kentucky Fried Chicken. KFC is pretty different out here than in America, but the Original Recipe chicken remains the same. God is good. Tomorrow I'll be ministering at a morning meeting. Please keep me in your prayers, for God to do what He wants to do through me, and for spiritual protection against the schemes of the enemy. And pray that the people will be encouraged in the Lord, and receive from Him. God bless Japan!

Great worship/prayer time last night

Yesterday was my first "formal" worship ministry time here in Tokyo, Japan. I played electric violin at the Tokyo Bread of Life church with friend Jason on keyboard. It was pretty much the first time we played together for worship, and we had a good flow in the Holy Spirit. Praise the Lord!

Later today, we will have a worship rehearsal for tomorrow (Sunday). I will be leading an evangelistic worship concert in the afternoon, along with a short message. Please keep me and the rest of the team in prayer. Jason's sister, Joy, is a good worship leader and singer as well. There is a higher level of spiritual warfare around here, as the buddhists are having a festival this month near the church facility, so your prayer support and coverage is definitely needed and appreciated! I'll be uploading some photos later.

Just got here safely and smoothly yesterday afternoon, and had a wonderful sashimi dinner. God is good. Really good. Stay tuned for more Japan postings this week.
