Merry Christmas!

This past weekend has been a tremendous time of youth ministry for me. I led a session on Friday night, two sessions on Saturday, and another session this morning. Each session was very different than the other. Friday night was a deep and intense time of worship. Saturday morning was a Bible study and discussion on the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Saturday afternoon was about soaking in the presence of God, and the story of Akiane (see previous post). Sunday morning, we had another wonderful worship time, and the viewing of "Receiving the Father's love," a message given by Jack Frost, one of the best preacher on the love of God that I know. Throughout the weekend, I got to pray and prophesy over individual youth. God moved and you can see that He is truly doing a transforming work in their hearts. Praise the Lord!

I bless you (the reader) with a delightful Christmas, and I pray that you will experience more and more of Father God's love in your life. Peace to you in the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Amen.

Akiane!

If you haven't heard of this Christian child prodigy, or seen her art, you need to know! After first experiencing a supernatural visitation from Jesus at the age of four, Akiane believed in God and then led her atheist family to the Lord! With frequent dreams and visions from the Lord, Akiane began painting and writing poetry from the prompting and inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Her paintings and poems have become world-class masterpieces which astonish every viewer and reader. Many has come to salvation in Christ through her artwork. Praise the Lord!

Click on the title link to access her website, and see her art. I would definitely recommend purchasing her books!

in LA for Christmas!

I just arrived in the Los Angeles area today from Seattle, courtesy of Southwest Airlines. I'll be in California for over a week, spending Christmas with my family here. My brother Gideon and his wife will be flying in on Friday. I'll be doing youth ministry Friday night and Saturday, so you can keep me in prayer for these meetings.

Next week, I am heading up to the Bay Area to attend my former college roommate Kenneth's wedding. I'll see more of my old friends there. It should be a good time catching up on each other's lives. I'll be back in Seattle in time for New Year's Eve.

Thank God for electricity!

If you have been reading/watching/hearing the news here in the US, then you would have known that there was a major windstorm here in the Seattle area a few days ago and it knocked power out in many areas in the city. We (my cousin Florence, Henry, and I) got hit by it too here in Bellevue, a suburb of Seattle, and we ended up not having electricity for about 2 days (no lights, no heat, no phone or internet connection). There were other areas in and around Seattle that still had power, so most people without power drove out to these other places to eat warm food in restaurants, get gas (since most gas stations were shut down too in our area), and buy supplies.

On Saturday, the second day without power (after a cold night in the house), I went over near the UW campus (University of Washington) to get online at a coffee shop around there. I also drove down south to Renton for a meal, and when I returned home in late afternoon, the power was back! Praise the Lord! Thank God for His abundant mercies!

So we got electricity back just in time before nightfall on Saturday, and our internet cable line was restored today. However, there are other residents in the region that are still without power, so please keep them in your prayers, for their power to be restored asap. It's funny how we always take these types of things for granted. We just expect stuff to work and function properly in the background all the time. It is the grace of God that we do have these modern technologies that makes our lives easier and more comfortable. He is our source, our ultimate provider.

This upcoming Tuesday I'll be flying home to LA, California, to my parent's house to spend Christmas with my family. My bro Gid and his wife Julia are also flying in from Boston, MA. My parent's church are doing some special Christmas meetings, and I will be leading three sessions for the youth. Please pray for me! Though I have some good experiences doing youth ministry in the past years, I know I am totally depended on God for each and every youth meeting. I sort of feel like a "1st-timer" everytime!

On another note, I want to mention that my friend Greg Burnett has a new blog site! It's at gburnett.blogspot.com . I love his consistency and regularity in posting stuff, as I always find fresh materials and updates everytime I check. It's pretty deep reading too. Go there and check it out! (Of course, my blog is still better than his, because he's from Texas and I'm not, haha)

Back from Whistler!

We drove home today and returned into the USA into a huge storm, which is still ongoing right now outside my window. Due to the storm and traffic, Jessica and Kevin missed their flight to San Jose this evening, but thankfully, they were able to get a later flight into Oakland, CA, on Southwest Airlines for no extra charge.

We had a great time skiing! (at least I did) Though we didn't ski the whole mountain (since parts were closed off due to high wind in blizzard conditions), the terrain was more than enough for us to handle.

After I dropped J & K off at the airport I got to meet up with my old college friend Robert for dinner. He just got off the plane from Nashville and was staying in a nearby hotel. It was great to catch up and chat. He'll be in town for the next couple days.

Anyways, I'm getting tired. It's been a great week so far, and I hope that the weekend will be even better!

Live from Whistler!

Here are several photos I took on the slopes at Whistler/Blackcomb ski resort, BC, Canada, the past 2 days. It has been snowing here! (as you can see). The top picture is Jessica with her boyfriend Kevin on Blackcomb Mountain. The 3rd picture is Kevin with Jessica in the background. And finally, the last photo is me with the Creekside Base in the background (and low-hanging clouds right above the village). We have one more ski day to go! Pray for good weather. Posted by Picasa

Great times with Georgie!

The Georgian Banov meeting at River Glory was wonderful! The place was packed out and the anointing was flowing strong in the room. Praise the Lord! I got to hear Georgie minister on the violin during worship, and speak of his colorful life experiences in Christ. At the end, I received prayer ministry and the wine of the Holy Spirit was pouring into the people...what a night!

Earlier today, I got to play basketball at 24hr Fitness in Bellevue with Lindsay. She's quite a good basketball player. Her fundamentals are rock solid, and she is an expert shooter. So when she releases the ball, it hits "nothing but net." She beat me in a tight game of HORSE, but I had the victory in "one-on-one." It was fun playing with her.

Playing Violin at Vineyard this Sunday

I'll be playing violin for the Sunday worship at the Seattle Vineyard. My California friend Jessica and her boyfriend Kevin will be visiting and see me play! After the church service, the three of us will be heading up Whistler for a 3-day ski trip. There's already a lot of snow up there, so it should be a fun time!

Georgian Banov this Fri and Saturday!

International worship leader Georgian Banov is coming to River Glory church in SeaTac, WA, this Friday and Saturday night! You can learn more about Georgian's ministry at www.riverlution.net

On another note, the Harp and Bowl worship/prayer session this past Monday at Joyful House of Prayer was one of the best that we had! I really felt like the intercession went up to a higher level this time, praise the Lord! This upcoming Sunday I'll be playing violin at the Seattle Vineyard again. God is good.

Yesterday, I went over to the Lifeway Christian Bookstore in town (Bellevue) to do some Christmas shopping, but I ended up making some purchases for myself too! I guess it's OK to buy presents to bless yourself. I got 3 cds that were on "super-sale," including a couple that was on my wish list for a long time. They are Tim Hughes' "When Silence Falls" and Charlie Hall's "On the road to beautiful." They are old albums that came out 2-3 years ago, that's why they are so cheap now (under $10). I also found Delirious' "Live and in the Can," a cd that's at least 5 years old, on sale. I had this cd back in college, and it was one of my favorite live worship album, but I misplaced it over the years (or perhaps I gave it away to someone) and I was just reflecting on this album last month, wishing to have it and listen to it again, and boom! it shows up on the sales rack in the store. Praise the Lord!

Lastly, I got the KJV audio Bible on mp3s. They were only $17! What a deal! In comparison, the NIV audio Bible on cd cost about $100. Every good and perfect gift comes from Father God!

Seeing the Dead Sea Scrolls!

Yesterday I went to see the Dead Sea Scrolls at the Pacific Science Center in Seattle (right next to the famous Space Needle) with my friend Lindsay and her friends Kirsten and Pat. It was a cool and inspiring exhibit! When I entered into the "Hall of the Scrolls," I felt a wave of the Holy Spirit sweeping through my being. If you don't know, the Dead Sea Scrolls are the oldest surviving document of the Bible (and other texts) in the world, nearly two thousand years old! It is truly amazing to see parts of the Scroll with my own eyes!

Afterwards, we went to Red Robin restaurant for a satisfying meal (it was my first time at Red Robin). I had a huge mushroom burger. It was a wonderful day.

About the WWG meeting on Friday night, we worshipped for about an hour-and-a-half. I could sense breakthroughs in the spirit realm. Praise the Lord!

Tonight, I'll be leading Harp and Bowl at the "Joyful House of Prayer" at Seattle Vineyard. Pray for me! Thanks.

Leading worship at WWG tonight

Tonight, I am scheduled to lead worship on guitar and violin at Well-Watered Garden, a Chinese-American ministry based in Sammamish, WA. My cousin Florence is going to play keyboard alongside. Please keep us in your prayers! Thanks.
