Leading J.H.O.P. last night!

Last night I had the opportunity to lead the Joyful House of Prayer meeting at the Seattle Vineyard. It was cool because it was only my second time leading on guitar, and the first time that my cousin Florence and my girlfriend Lindsay got to attend. I also got to lead a couple of my own songs during worship as well.
Prayer-wise, our topics for the night were for the Seattle Vineyard church, for the Lord to lift up a spirit of heaviness, and for joy to return, and for more funding to come in for the restoration of the church building (we have a leaky roof!). We also prayed for Mozambique, which is currently in the midst of catastrophic flooding! And we prayed for China, to fan the flame of the current revival that is going on there, and for my parents, who are ministering in China right now. If you can, please keep my parents in your prayers as well, for their safety, health, and power in ministering to the people. Thanks!
To view the prayer handout that I printed out for the JHOP meeting last night, just click on the title link above. It has a summary of our prayer topics and Scripture verses as well.

Read about Jennifer Toledo!

I ran across this article about Jennifer Toledo--her life and ministry, on the web this past week. (Click on the title link to read it!) I have heard portions of Jennifer's testimony last year through free mp3s downloaded off Arthur Burk's website, www.plumblineministries.com (when she was known as Jennifer Miller, before she got married).
Jennifer has an incredible testimony (including how the Lord led her to Africa, to help set a whole tribe free from a demonic covenant), so you should definitely check out this article (an interview with her). Her ministry website is www.gcmovement.org
A final note, Jennifer will be speaking at a conference at Bethel Church, in Redding, CA, in April. The conference info is at www.ibethel.org

Vineyard worship team photos!

Here are my group of worshipping friends at the Seattle Vineyard. As You can see, we have a marvelous place to worship in. It is a pretty inspiring setting, especially when the sun shines through the stained-glass windows (not in picture). Maybe next time I'll take some photos of the windows, just to give you a glimpse.
Our worship leader is Pieter, in front with the Taylor guitar. He's from South Africa. The female singer is Theres, and she has a good voice. Karl, our pastor, is on the keyboard in the picture. Scott is on drums, and David is on backup acoustic guitar. Normally, I would be in there with my electric violin, but since I'm taking the photos, you can't see me.
Finally, note the "joyful house of prayer" banner hanging down from the wall. It's beautiful!

Photos completely uploaded!

I have just finished uploading all the best photos from my mission trip to the Philippines and Taiwan, and it was quite a task to sort and organize all the pictures! You can view all the new albums I set up at "Photo Gallery." I'm glad I got it all done, so you can see the trip, from the beginning to end. (I have 6 Philippines albums, depicting different segments of my time there, and 3 Taiwan albums)

It is true that "a picture is worth a thousand words," as you will have a good idea of what I experienced on this mission, just by viewing these shots. Now that I'm done with the photos, I will starting writing my mission trip report soon. Thanks for your patience!

Back in Seattle!

Last night, I arrived back in Seattle safely! I flew from Taiwan to Los Angeles, CA, met up with my parents at the airport for a meal, before connecting on a flight back to the Northwest. It was a wonderful trip overall! Many lives were touched by God, and I had a deeper experience of Him myself. Praise the Lord!

I want to thank you for all of you who prayed for me on this mission trip, who interceded for my travels and ministry time. May the Lord richly reward you! My health was in good condition the whole time! I am hoping to start writing my mission report soon, but I will try to upload pictures to the "Photo Gallery" first. Stay tuned!

Last full day in Taiwan!

I just got back to YangMei, where my cousin Mandy's family lives, from Taichung this morning. Though I was only in Taichung for one day, it was a very fruitful day of ministry. Hopefully I can write more about it in my missions report, which I plan to write when I come back to the States. I'll be flying out to the US tomorrow around 4 pm (Taiwan time). You can pray for me for safe, smooth flights with no delays or lost baggage! (I'll be transferring in California before coming back to Seattle) This ministry trip to the Philippines and Taiwan has been very good. Praise the Lord! Thanks for all your prayers!

Wonderful fellowship and ministry with relatives

The past couple days the Lord has been moving in the area of ministry and fellowship with my family here in Taiwan. This past Sunday afternoon, I had a missions presentation at my cousin Louisa's family's house (which is really close to cousin Mandy's family's house), and we had 3 families of cousins gathered there. I did a slideshow of my photos from the Philippines, and shared about my experiences there. We had pizza for dinner, then after the meal, we entered into a time of worship, with me leading on guitar. The presence of the Lord was evident, and we really had a good time! After worship, we had a discussion about discerning the things of the spirit, and I was able to answering some key questions about how to pray and removing the demonic strongholds according to the principles found in Scripture (staying within your spiritual authority, identification repentance, etc.). It was a very fruitful session!

Later today I'll be taking a train to Taipei, to have dinner with friends. I will also see what the Lord would have me pray while I'm there, for the city of Taipei. Keep me in your prayers for this overnight trip, as there are some strongholds of darkness there. Thanks!

arrival in Taiwan!

I flew into Taiwan this afternoon from Manila. I had such a great time in the Philippines! Great ministry times, praise the Lord!
My cousin Mandy and her family picked me up from the airport, and I got to speak to the youth group in their Bread of Life church here tonight, in Yangmei. I had to make the switch to speak in Chinese (I was speaking in English in the Philippines). Thank God for His grace to help me make the transition! God is good.
My ministry schedule here in Taiwan is more relaxed, since I have only one week here. I'll be hanging out with a few of my cousins, and go down to Taichung to see minister Linda and her family, hopefully sometimes next week. I'll keep you posted. Thanks again for all your prayers, and please do continue to keep me covered in prayer.
