Market Port launched!

I developed the Market Port webpage as a side project to make it easier for people (and myself) to access popular and useful sites on the web. Check it out! Of course, it is impossible to catalog all the best sites in the world, so I only picked out the ones I like, but it will probably be the ones you like too!

June Light Amp Newsletter is here!

To read it, just click on the link to your right.

It's a rainy day today in Charlotte, which prevents me from going outside to play basketball (for my exercise). On the other hand, I'm happy to be saving my energy for Harp & Bowl (worship and intercession) tonight, where I'm planning on playing the violin. Ministering before the Lord takes lots of physical energy (more than doing secular stuff), because you are yielding your body as a vessel for the Holy Spirit to flow through. Usually, at the end of a meeting where I've been playing for a couple hours, I'm almost always drained physically and need nourishment (food) and rest (sleep) to restore my health. So I don't try to play the violin (which takes more energy than singing and playing guitar) for worship two days in a row, as I try to have a day of rest in between. Of course, sometimes it doesn't work out that way, and I just have to press through and play consecutive days, as the Lord orders.

Tonight we won't be doing Harp & Bowl at our regular place, but we will be joining up with the Cause people down at Heritage by MorningStar. It will be a blast worshipping and praying with our friends from the Cause, as they are always very fire-up for the Lord. Come out if you're around, we start after 7 pm.

Free wireless internet at Caribou Coffee

A couple days ago I found out that you can get free wireless internet at Caribou Coffee here in Charlotte, NC. Even though I'm not a coffee-drinker, I do enjoy strong hot teas (I got hooked when I went to Russia a few years ago). So now I'm spending more time over there, getting my small Earl Grey tea with three packs of sugar, and doing my "work" on my laptop in the cozy environment. Certainly better than what they offer at St. Arbucks (starbucks). You can click on the title link to go to Caribou's website.

Isaiah 50:4

The Sovereign LORD has given me an instructed tongue,
to know the word that sustains the weary.
He wakens me morning by morning,
wakens my ear to listen like one being taught.

My parent's ministry weblog

A couple days ago, while I was at home in LA, I was able to help my dad built his own weblog for his ministry, Vision Team International. I helped to upload his monthly newsletter onto the site. You can visit it at visionteamusa.blogspot.com
However, it is still a pretty rough website, with much work to be done on it, and most of it is in Chinese. But it does provide an access point for people to donate to the ministry online, via paypal. To check it out, just click on the title link above.

Back in Charlotte

I got back to Charlotte, NC early this morning. I took a red-eye flight from LA last night. We (my parents and I) had just flown in from Taiwan the previous day. It was a good trip. In addition to playing at my grandmother's funeral, I had the opportunity to catch-up with many of my relatives (cousins, aunts, uncles, etc.) and make some ministry connections for the future. I will be back in Taiwan this September, and this trip gives me more of a feel for what God might want me to do when I return in a couple months.

in Taiwan

Right now I'm staying at my uncle's house in Hsinchu. We will be traveling southward tomorrow, and I'll end up at my cousin's house in Tainan on Friday to visit their worship school. I am re-adjusting to the food and the sleep schedule here...you can keep me in prayer, for protection, safety, good health, and smoothness in travel (and of course, for God's will to be done, that the Holy Spirit would move and minister as He pleases).
The weather is a bit hot and humid, but that's expected. My brother will be flying in from Shanghai Saturday night for the grandmother's funeral on Sunday. Pray that he will arrive safely. I'll be playing my violin at the funeral. Thanks for all your prayers.

Watching the Philippines video

Right now I'm back home in LA, at my parent's house, I should say, watching the 3-hour-long video that my friend Ashley made us from the Philippines trip in April. She captured some incredible, amazing footage of us worshipping, and everyone worshipping their hearts out. She also got on camera of all of us preaching (including a segment with me sharing parts of my testimony). The video certainly brought back lots of good memories. There were segments where we were just hanging out and not doing anything at all. I can't wait to show this video to my family members back in Taiwan, so they will have an idea of what I do (playing the violin).

Picture of my friend Greg and his family

Since I don't expect myself to be posting much next week, while I am in Taiwan, I figure I should post more this week. Here is a picture of my good friend Greg Burnett and his family. Very lovely.

New "Salvation for Israel" Links Section

I've added a new section at the bottom right-hand side of this page. It has a couple links to Messianic ministries. I've also added new links to my Worship and Resource pages. Be sure to go there and see the new additions.

On another note: I'll be flying to LA tomorrow (Saturday morning), and from there, I'll be flying with my mom to Taiwan on Monday.
